Terms & Conditions

Breezy Thyme Pty Ltd, trading as Breezy Thyme Travel, is a Hobart-based tour company offering small-group and private charter experiences across Tasmania. As a Tourism Industry Council Tasmania Quality Tourism Accredited Business, we specialise in nature-based itineraries, wildlife encounters, and seasonal tours, with a strong focus on sustainable and regenerative tourism, supporting local communities, protecting the environment, and creating meaningful travel experiences.

 

In these Booking Terms and Conditions of Travel, “we”, “us” and “our” mean and refer to Breezy Thyme Pty Ltd (ABN: 91 675 410 143). It is important that you understand the terms and conditions as detailed below before you book. By booking a tour with us, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions. We also strongly encourage you to read the itinerary for your planned tour to ensure that you understand the contents of the tour.

Booking Confirmation & Payments

Your booking is confirmed once payment is received, and a confirmation notice is sent via email or text message. From that point, a contract exists between you and Breezy Thyme Travel. A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to hold your itinerary. The remaining balance must be paid no later than the first day of travel. Some services, such as flights, accommodation, or specific local tours, may require full payment upfront due to strict supplier cancellation policies. Your travel designer will advise you of any such conditions during the quoting process. Payments made by credit card may attract a surcharge.

Security Deposits

Accommodation providers and vehicle hire companies may request a credit card imprint or pre-authorisation to cover incidentals not included in your travel package. These arrangements are managed directly with the provider at the time of service.

Amendments & Changes

We offer flexible date changes for bookings changed 15 days or more before the tour’s departure, subject to availability and may incur a fare difference or handling fee. For peace of mind, we recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers date changes and cancellations.

Cancellations by You

If you cancel your booking 30 or more days before your scheduled departure, the initial deposit is non-refundable. However, you can retain the deposit as a travel credit with us, valid for up to one year from the original travel date. A rebooking fee or price difference may apply when rescheduling to a new tour. If you cancel within 30 days of departure or fail to join the tour, the full booking amount will be forfeited, and no refund will be issued. No refunds will be provided for unused services once travel has commenced.

Cancellations by Us

In the rare event that Breezy Thyme Travel must cancel a tour, we will offer you the choice of transferring your payment to an alternative tour or receiving a full refund. If cancellation is caused by events beyond our control, including, but not limited to, natural disasters, supplier disruptions, or government-imposed restrictions, we will refund the tour cost minus any unrecoverable expenses already incurred. We are not liable for any additional expenses you may have incurred independently, including non-refundable flights, visas, insurance excess, or personal arrangements.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is not included in your tour cost but is strongly recommended. This should cover potential losses related to cancellations, medical emergencies, lost or damaged property, and unforeseen travel disruptions. Breezy Thyme Travel is not responsible for injury, illness, loss, or inconvenience arising from circumstances such as weather events, transport delays, strikes, or the actions of third-party service providers.

Itinerary Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy in all itineraries and travel documents, it is your responsibility to review all details carefully prior to departure. Any errors must be reported to us as soon as possible and before travel commences. If errors are discovered after your trip has begun, any resulting costs will be your responsibility. We will assist wherever possible to resolve issues, but we encourage securing travel insurance to minimise personal risk.

Optional Activities

Optional activities listed in your itinerary are not included in the tour price and are offered at your own expense and risk. Any support provided by our staff in arranging these activities does not imply responsibility or liability on our part. All optional activities are governed by the terms and conditions of the individual providers.

Our Role & Limitations of Liability

Breezy Thyme acts as an agent for third-party providers such as accommodation, transportation, and tour operators. We do not own or operate these services and are therefore not liable for any personal injury, property damage, delays, cancellations, or service interruptions caused by them. While we will always aim to support and assist you during your journey, we recommend securing adequate travel insurance for full protection.

Privacy & Data Use

We collect personal information only as required to deliver your travel experience. This information may be shared with third-party suppliers and agents involved in your booking but will not be used for any unrelated purposes without your consent. We are committed to handling your personal data with care and in accordance with applicable privacy regulations.

Updates to Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time without prior notice. The latest version will always be available on our website or can be provided upon request.
